recently i attended an activity called milk ministry which organised by my senior under cell fellowship... basically, the purpose was to help some children called street children... they are quite pity, due to their family financial problem, they have to come out and work in order to help they family to survive better... every day after their school, they quickly go home, then change their clothes, then go to street to work... some of them work as seller, selling some sneaks, drinks, cigarettes, or news paper to the stop moving cars when the traffic light turns red... some of them even become 'traffic police' to direct the cars where to go when the traffic is worse... some of them even become beggar to beg money from the cars that stop moving... i cant imaging that they are so dare to stand at the middle of road and work like this... in Medan, u ppl don't think that here is ulu or kampung kampung, has not much cars here... i tell u ppl, the cars here are even more then the amount of cars in some cities in Malaysia... they work in such a place is damn freaking dangerous.. imaging, the cars, motor bikes, becak, and public transports sometime are just moving in front of them or passing by their body with the distance of few inches... wtf! can u work in a situation like this? definitely no, right? it is too absolute dangerous... some more the vehicles here are not that polite, they are just like racing with each other, very brainless ppl... last time i was nearly knocked down by a public transport... lol...
so, my cell fellowship decided to help them up by giving them some milk and chocolate... at first, we started from my hostel walking to few places which could get some street children... we walked from my hostel to the streets outside which were around 15 minutes by walking... then we tried to search and look for some children... we met some children and we asked them to read out some peribahasa in Bahasa Indonesia and tell us the meaning... if they could answer, then we present them a small bottle of milk; if they couldn't answer, then we just teach them and let them learn... haha...
so, at the first 1 hour, we could only meet up with a children... he was holding one bug packet of sneak and ready to sell it to the pass by cars... we saw him and we called him:' adik, mari sini...' then he came... he thought that we wanted to buy some sneak from him, so he said:' nak apa, bang?' then my senior squatted down and introduced himself:' adik, nama abang, kai liang, adik bisa panggil saya abang kai liang. ini abang chek dan kakak sabrina.' then the children said halo and showed his smiling face to us (means happy to meet up with us)... then my senior started to ask his name, and some infornations:'adik nama siapa? umur berapa? sekolah apa? and blah blah blah...' the the children answered one by one... when he told us his age, i was totally shock! he was 15 years old! three years old younger then me, i couldn't believe that he was only 15 years old and his size was just looked like a standard 5 children... this meant that his family had not much money to buy more foods for their children, that was why they were so skinny, tiny and so bony... feel so sad to them as compared with us...
then we showed out one piece of paper written:'aku tetap istimewa dengan cara aku sendiri'... we asked him to read and explain the meaning to us.... he did and as the reward, we gave him a small bottle of chocolate milk... he was so happy just with a little bottle milk, if we were them, we might just say:' such a small drink is nothing to me lah, i get or i don't get is still ok, nothing much affect me...' but he didn't, he was so freaking happy...
later, we made our move to search for other children... as we were walking and searching, i turned back my sight and focused on the small boy again, he was sharing the milk with his another friend... a small bottle of milk still able to share, the milk was just few ml and can be finished up in few mouths... so nice he still shared it with friend...
after half an hour searching around, we were not manage to get any children... we started feel wanted to give up with this project... so we prayed to HIM again, hoped that HE could open door for us... let us help the children... it was amazingly that few children appeared in our sight just after we praying... HIS work was so amazing! so we did the same thing again... introduced, teaching them and rewarding them...
p/s: please ar, i really attended the activity... i was not inside the picture, just because i was holding the camera and being a camera man...

It's nice that your place has this kind of activity. It's His gift that we are able to serve Him.
