You

It's you today,
Borned yesterday,
Which seemed so far away.
But memories stay
No matter what they say.

Call it fate or chance,
We met and then we dance.
One, two and three was the pace.
But remember the trance?
Or the daze?
We shall remember as we laze.

I remember the days
When we still looked at each other
And smile and waved.
The wind must have blown them somewhere,
Somewhere I cannot possibly reach,
Somewhere you have hidden them out of reach.

Funny, is it not,
When people die
And their bodies rot.
Funny, is it not,
When you have gone away
And I am still waiting by the way.

Away to these ominous omens
As we say our amens.
Healthy, pink, better than ever,
Perhaps for good the ties you sever.

Good things I shall say now
For you and your day of crown.
May it gives you blessing, may this be a vow
As you journey your way down.

It's you today,
Borned yesterday,
Which seemed so far away.
But memories stay
No matter what they say.
Happy Birthday.
