The Lord's Recovery

at here, i was invited to attend a cell group which having cell meeting every Wednesday... this cell group contained amount of group members which was around 20-25 people... all were Christians no matter protestant or catholic... just mixed as long as we were loving God... but yesterday one of my senior told me that he wasn't protestant, ain't catholic... then he told me that he believe in The Lord's Recovery... what's that?

he explain a lot to me... yet i still didn't understand... he said for them, they would not celebrate Christmas or Good Friday... because in bible, there didn't note that need to celebrate Christmas and Good Friday... i got confused... so i asked Daniel, he requested me to blog it... i didn't know it very well, so i just copied the info from net, roughly for you all... for more details, can check in this web - (http://www.lordsrecovery.org/)

Today the Lord is working to recover among His people two items central to His heart's desire in order to accomplish His eternal purpose:

  • The enjoyment and experience of the riches of Christ
  • The practice of the church life in oneness
The word “recover” means
to obtain again something
that has been lost.

Recovery means to bring
something back to its
original condition.

These two items need to be recovered by the Lord because over time they have become lost or damaged. The word “recover” means to obtain again something that has been lost, or to return something to a normal condition. In order for something to be recovered, it must have already been in existence and in a particular condition. When, after it has been lost or damaged, it is returned to its former condition, it is said to be recovered. The noun “recovery” means the restoration or return to a normal condition after a damage or loss has been incurred.

To say that God is recovering certain matters means that through the course of church history they have been lost, misused, or corrupted and that God is restoring them to their original state or condition. Simply put, in the eyes of God, recovery means to bring something back to its original condition.Martin Luther, Count Zinzendorf, John Nelson Darby, Watchman Nee, Witness Lee, and the local churches have all been instrumental in this recovery work of God through the centuries.

The content of the "History" section of this website is based on a series of articles in The Firstfruit entitled “A Brief History of the Lord's Recovery” authored primarily by James Reetzke, published by Chicago Bibles and Books. The content of the "Main" and "Explanation" sections is based on an article by Ron Kangas entitled “What is God's Recovery?”

True, the world is full of sin, sometimes I wonder how painful God would feel to see His children not tired of sinning. The world needs recovery, it needs.
