Mini Dragon Girl

Sorry for the stupid title, crudely translated from the Chinese phrase of 'Xiao LongNv', which refers to girls from mainland China. Mini Dragon Girl equals to XiaoLong Nv anytime. -___-

The reason to mention them here is as below: a conversation between one of them and a man at a restaurant. Niel was there to witness it all.

Man (stood up as I sat down): I don't care. I am not going to be any more tolerable than this, and you had better pay. (Ready to leave the place.)

Xiao Long Nv(XLN) did not really bothered about him and continued her dinner.

The man was already walking a few steps away when he changed his mind and walked back to her.

Man: Are you listening? Cause if you keep delay paying your debts, I am going to bring in the police and you're finished. Get me?

XLN (mouth full of food. Or maybe I just can't understand her heavy Mainland accent. -__-) : Yes I know lar. Would you stop pushing me around? I promise to pay you back when my boss gives me the money. What do you want some more?

Man: I don't care. The deadline is due and I want to see the money. You don't want any trouble with the Police right?

XLN: I will pay you when I get the money. There is really nothing I can do.

Here, the man made an exasperated gesture and walked away. However, he changed his mind and walked back to the XLN again. I think it was quite funny seeing the man incensing himself by walking back and forth to make sure the women gets his message, which is not very rewarding.

Man: Look, I am getting a little bit impatient here. (See!) I want my money and you are going to pay. I really don't care about anything else.

And finally he walks away for good, with the XLN shouting in strange tongue after him:

XLN: I will pay you back the money 1 lar. Why won't you trust me? I will pay when my boss gives me the money!

That was my understanding of the entire skirmish, or at least my guessing of what the women actually said.

The entire scene is quite funny actually, with the man suppressing his anger and the women repeating her words. But when I thought about the predicament theXLN is probably facing, I can't laugh. It's quite a pity, a sad thing to see her having to borrow money from a potential loan-shark in a foreign country. For one moment, I almost expect to see some soliciting...

China a country who champions the rights of its poor citizens? O___O?
